The Link Visiting Scheme do so much to support the elderly and isolated in Wokingham. At their recent event, I listened to the charity's findings on how chair yoga improves the health, mobility and confidence of elderly people. I also had a go at chair yoga myself!

Based nearby in Henley, HoTWater are an amazing group of volunteers who hold Thames Water to account by testing water quality in the River Thames. Their work highlights the need for Thames Water to get their act together, and to finally upgrade the Wargrave Sewage Treatment Works.

Freely Fruity are a local charity who plant fruit trees and grow fruit for communities to enjoy for free. I went to see how the 700 fruit trees have grown in Barkham since I helped plant some a few years ago. It was great to see new bee hives and a new solar-powered irrigation system.

Friends of Fox Hill are a local community group who maintain access to the woodland on the edge of Woosehill and support the conservation of the ancient woodland. It was great to join the group’s volunteers to see their conservation work in action.

Daisy’s Dream are a local charity who support children and young people prepare for bereavement and to navigate life after the death of a loved one. I was honoured to support their charity walk to raise funds for this vital service, which was attended by many other residents.

I welcome the government's consultation with the major opposition parties to reform social care. These efforts to reform it must succeed. That is why I commend Ed Davey’s positive and constructive approach to an issue he knows so much about.

Caring has been central to my life, and the lives of millions across the country. I'll be meeting the Prime Minister today to discuss how we can finally find a solution to the care crisis. We need to do things differently. I really hope we are on a journey to fix this.

It was great meeting many residents at the All Saints Church Summer Fayre recently. I was blown away by the quality of some of the arts and crafts stalls. It's always great to see people at these events celebrating local causes.

Recently, I joined residents and local artists at the 69th Wokingham Art Society Summer Exhibition. I had the honour of presenting an award to a very worthy winner. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet many local artists and to recognise the value of our local arts scene.

Harley and Noah, both just 16, have cycled 840km to Ireland and back to raise funds for Berkshire Women's Aid. Their determination to support women and children affected by domestic abuse is truly inspiring. I'm proud to support their incredible effort - please join me in supporting them.

I have today written to the new Justice Secretary following the news that Axel Rudakubana has been moved to Broadmoor Hospital. The families of his victims deserve answers about what has led to this decision.

In Wokingham, Camp Mohawk have welcomed nearly 1,000 families of children with special educational needs and disabilities to their day centre, helping them to thrive and relax. I was pleased the Leader of the House of Commons joined me in paying tribute to the amazing charity.

Hardworking families deserve support to make the most of their summer holidays, especially with rising bills. Improving access to public transport is one way of doing this. That's why I pushed the Gov to extend free bus travel for U15s, if the scheme is successful this summer.
