The black stripe on the pride flag symbolizes the loss the queer community has dealt with from the AIDS crisis. “Neverending” takes this idea that their legacies shouldn’t be forgotten and reflects this through extended musical phrases which persist through various forms.

Our tune for the brown in the pride flag represents the queer BIPOC experience. @alisongrace.music, who composed the foundation, says “I wrote it to both vent my frustration with the oppression I face as a black trans woman, but also express the love I hold for myself and who I am, despite it all.”

A BLUEshift is when an astronomical object appears to be bluer to the naked eye as it approaches the viewer in relativistic speeds. This tune reflects this nature by having a very distant, twinkling sound - with a melody that becomes clearer and more complete as you approach the end of the tune.

“a flower blooms for its own joy” is a soft lo-fi track with pretty and naturalistic instrumentation that paints a vivid image of a garden, with the floral aesthetic further being put forward by the lovely artwork by the artists.

Warm, wobbly, and groovy! “marmalade mirage,” is also microtonal; instead of dividing an octave into 12 equally-spaced notes (like on a piano), these composers worked with 17! If you listen closely, you’ll also hear meows from Oscar the orange cat.
