Interesting reference in the Caribbean on the outbreak of the British and Irish Civil Wars to those who tried to remain 'neutral' in 1642, calling them 'truely moderate men (called Newters' which he describes as men of 'sober temperate spirritt & sound sence'- after deriding 'violent partiallists'.
