Incredibly on brand that I requested a soldier's papers and one diary only to find out that the materials were actually for two different men with the same name. I open the second man's diary and find that he is decidedly not a soldier: he's a Quaker. I am, above all else, consistent.

There was something oddly sweet about seeing the exact same group of folks on the trains going to Boston from Providence and back last night for the Sox game. Like we all went on a field trip together.
I love Anthony Benezet for a whole host of reasons. But the least serious reason I love him is for his writings specifically on clothing. It can never be "idk the outfit is a bit much, no?" It has to be "letting your clothes trail along the floor is an act of rebellion against God." 💀
