I occasionally see people defend 100gfs from knee-jerk criticism by saying it's a parody of harems and it really pisses me off. Not because it isn't, but because its parody clearly comes from a place of deep love and you're not actually defending 100gfs by implying that it's mocking the genre.

Incredibly powerful mains are nothing new to manga/anime, I feel like many modern iterations of it struggle to do anything with the characters. Like Lina Inverse and Ranma Saotome are silly strong in their settings, but they still face challenges and grow, both in character and ability.
