Today Gail found out (via a vile misreading of her work) about how Valnet buys up media sites with sterling reputations, guts them of the people who made them shine, & turns them into hollow zombies vomiting clickbait. In case you too haven’t heard why cool kids say “RIP Polygon” (& so many more)

@tonyweaverjr.bsky.social doesn't seem too active these days (at least on bluesky), but maybe he's more active than ever? He's been busy promoting his campaign for children's literacy and access to books with Nerds For Literacy.

Literally just said in an interview today theatre kids & their styles of play (to say nothing of marginalized folks of all kinds) have always been in the hobby. It’s that they didn’t always get to be visible in public spaces we associated with being in the hobby. AP was part of a visibility shift.

Actual Play is not what got Theatre Kids into role-playing games. They were already there. Same with writers, philosophers, academics, improvisers, film makers, podcasters, and more.

I haven’t done up a stream schedule for the week 🫠🤷🏾‍♀️ The world is so damn heavy, it’s hard to not turtle up in a game, off stream and just zone out to escape. But chores still need doin, you gotta feed yourself, take meds, etc. It’s rough out there y’all, hope folks are keepin well as they can.

That's gonna be a full blown Pokemon adaptation then. Every region a book. Every Pokemon. Maybe it'll be closer to the mystery dungeon games, maybe that'd be its own book spinoff. I've been a fan for 30 years. I could make it work.

"The customer is always right" has always been a mistake. Customers are often complete morons who need smacked down and/or thrown out of the establishment. At least on Steam when we get angry morons in reviews we're allowed to clap back at them. Retail stores should all have bouncers.

I’ll die on the hill that digital purchases shouldn’t be legally allowed to be deleted, removed from user access, etc because at that point that isn’t purchasing a game or product but rather renting it Once you digitally buy a game or media you should get to forever own your copy no matter what
