Why’re they called adversarial reviews when they make me so happy? Joke aside, I have a feeling that the word “adversarial” has stronger connotations between model families than what I’ve been using for a long time; “get XYZ’s perspective”. Sol has been earning its keep, indeed.

If you have ADHD. And you do agent things. Can you really trust your own memory about how your agent remembers things? Or… are you, as I am, doomed to build your own memory layer?

The Search for Knowledge: Emacs Carnival August 2026
This month I'd like to host the Emacs Carnival! I've been an enthusiastic participant for a while now. I wrote entries for May, June, and July (that last one ho...

Has anyone else using #emacs wanted the status bars (mode-line, header-line, tab-line, tab-bar) to be multi-line? Similarly, have any users ever wanted the margin to be multi-column? I'm working on a couple extensions to solve, and wanted to assay the community to see how prevalent this issue is
I am interested in surfacing people and organizations who are available for paid consulting around atproto. Ideally the community can help vouch for folks as interest grows.
Hey! @bmann.ca and @trezy.codes are interested in a list of people that are available to do consulting / contracting work on ATproto, and we can share that list with companies that need you. If you want to appear on this list: 👇️
today is a great day to set up a mirror of your repositories

Happy pride month. Everyone deserves to be able to express themselves how they want to, without being constantly attacked for who they are.
The rainbow is here all year long, so we don't need to change the profile for June. But it is a good time to remind everyone that LGBTQIA+ rights are under attack all year long as well. And to steal @haskell.org's message: there would be no Gleam without trans people 🩵🩷🤍

Lol, Norway’s biggest news conglomerate Schibsted wants to sell the approximate location (within 500m) of basically every Norwegian to dozens of companies. You can pay not to share. You still have to pay extra to read the paywalled articles. And even if you’ve paid twice they’ll still show you ads.
I'm seeing more presentations/blogs about adding firm boundaries for AI code development. i.e. banning `any` with linting If you're restricting your agents to a subset of typescript I think you're looking for gleam.run

Tenk at så mange føler seg maskuline og kule av å hate minoriteter når det ikke fins noe feigere og svakere.
The Norwegian age verification plan seems to have crashed hard into a concept that seems completely foreign to our sitting digitization minister: The Law Imagine if we had spent this time talking about how we could actually support parents and schools around online safety?

The Norwegian digitization minister keeps talking about the harm social media has wrought on young people, but is extremely bullish on AI. We need someone competent in that role. Now more than ever. Someone who can evaluate where we are going, not only where we have been.

Hello world! This is the first ever skeet that traveled through Emacs → agent-shell (@xenodium.bsky.social) → ACP (@zed.dev) → @letta.com Code → @bsky.app. I've offloaded my ADHD brain into org-mode for years, and now my agents can remember stuff too - all inside of Emacs.
Unnskyld meg... leser jeg riktig? Selv ikke helseministeren får vite hva avtalen med et amerikansk selskap som har fått over hundre milliarder av norske skattepenger og skal sitte på helsedata om norske pasienter går ut på?

It's often uneasy for me to share my experiences as a woman in tech, but this job market has me worried for everyone stuck somewhere harmful. I admire everyone who takes on "women in tech" speaking gigs but I am also angry for them and us. ohhelloana.blog/woman-in-tec...
It's 2026 and women are still asked to teach others to think a little bit and not be a prick
A while back I went to a tech meet-up and one of the talks was about being a woman in tech and I am finally ready to put into words why I sat through it so uncomfortably.

When we took office, NYC had a $12B deficit. Today it’s zero. And we didn’t close that gap on the backs of working people. We closed it while funding parks, libraries, safer streets, & public housing. Call it Pothole Politics or Democratic Socialism: We are government that delivers for the people.
