Really excited for this one. Wale was one of the first people I connected with in Philly after finishing my bootcamp back in 2014. It's been great re-connecting at conferences the past few years.

Episode 67 has a bit of a temperature! 🌡️ In this one, we sit down with @wale-olaleye.bsky.social, founder of Rails Fever, to chat about building a software consulting business, marketing and sales outreach, refining your messaging, and the value of being local and in-person. www.indierails.com/67

Last week, I released a huge update for Spot Squid that lets shops pre-book time slots for events. They completely sold out the event in a few hours! Was awesome having a chance to stop by the event and see everything humming along in person. "It was incredible. So smooth. Everyone loved it..." 😤

Got to see Taking Back Sunday and Coheed and Cambria and Red Rocks this past weekend and the best way to describe it is it felt like a high school reunion, but one that I'd actually want to go to. Fred re-joined TBS and both bands went harder than any other show I've been to.

Merged a few hotfixes before review this morning and was trying to make a Cowboy Coding joke when sending an update. I attempted to put my face on Cowboy Curtis but ended up with this abomination and I can't stop laughing at it.

Just under a month until the final #RailsConf in Philly. On top of getting to head back to Philly and and getting in some final memories, I was fortunate enough to be selected for a guide! See you in Philly! railsconf.org/about/#schol...

With #RailsConf about a month away, I've been doing some reminiscing about my Philly days. Spent my 30th birthday at National Mechanics for the Weblinc holiday party and the Careless Whisper sax guy played Happy Birthday for me 😆

I've seen a few people mention that the actor that plays Greg on White Lotus also plays Uncle Rico in Napoleon Dynamite. Watched The Monster Squad this past weekend and realized he's also the human version of the Wolfman! Why am I just now finding this out?!

Deployed a huge update for a client yesterday that re-writes their frontend to use Inertia + Rails. After working with Inertia the past couple of months, it's really been growing on me.
