Instead of spending at least $50 billion of public money on fueling more climate chaos, Canadians deserve a government that invests in building the green economy of tomorrow – creating good jobs, lowering costs, and protecting our future.
National interest is citizens being able to afford necessities and health and shelter. Propose #UBI and #HousingFirst as national interest both are proven to pay dividends, at least 1.4x in one instance.
But it doesn’t do a damn thing for people struggling with the cost of food and housing, increased costs from privatized healthcare, and of course the daily anxiety of climate breakdown.
The rest of the world is racing ahead on renewable energy, leaving Canada behind.
But it doesn’t do a damn thing for people struggling with the cost of food and housing, increased costs from privatized healthcare, and of course the daily anxiety of climate breakdown.
And for Canadians across this land, it is a kick in the teeth to call this climate bomb of a project “in the national interest”. It is in Big Oil’s interest for sure.
It makes a mockery of the duty to consult First Nations, guaranteed under our constitution. You can’t approve a project and then engage in consultation: that is just a pipeline to the courts.
What is our government doing? This project defies common sense - this is corporate welfare on a surreal scale, giving a gift to an industry making $90 billion in excess profits this year, and which still refuses to pay for its own infrastructure.
Over the weekend, more than 5,000 British Columbians had to flee their homes in 24 hours, under evacuation from just two of the approximately 130 wildfires currently engulfing the province.
As I received this news today here in British Columbia, the wildfire smoke blankets the sky, our eyes are burning and our kid is complaining of a sore throat from it. And we’re the lucky ones. 🧵 www.cbc.ca/news/politic...

Go more into this: renewables have covered all new energy demand this year EU is currently seeing 50% renewable electricity. We can make the claim, backed by studies, that investing in renewables is the financially and environmentally superior choice
The rest of the world is racing ahead on renewable energy, leaving Canada behind.
We want stronger language than “climate chaos” People are dying. Entire communities are being wiped out. Call it what it is: ecocide.

Yep. Earlier this year I was interviewed by Sharyn Alfonsi of 60 Minutes about my Epstein investigation. Subsequently, CBS pulled the segment and fired the reporter. The MAGA buyout of media is aiding the Trump administration’s Epstein cover up.
Banks permitted millions in suspicious transactions tied to Epstein—and former 60 Minutes correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi had the story months ago. But the report would never air. trib.al/ZShZlIS

According to our own constitution, we should have overthrown the government by now.
everyone's needs met before anyone gets to be wealthy. this is the compromise
Watched a multi-acre fire break out before my very eyes and then watched a bunch of helicopters show up and put it out. Government was a good idea, it should do more things like that instead of evil and corruption

I think people don’t want to let a country’s leader escape accountability for their actions Not only is the expansion potentially harmful, there’s a whole slate of other very harmful actions to hold him accountable for And with a majority gov, it looks like it’s not coming for him from parliament
