Recent films have put more emphasis on villains being more misunderstood than just "bad guys," but the general public keeps painting everything in black and white, with little understanding of nuance. Is there a correlation or am I just trying to find links where there are none?

As if the Super Mario Bros 3 Happy Meal from 1990 wasn't already legendary enough - one of the other concepts McDonald's considered was this Mad Ball-style King Koopa "Fireball Blaster." This would've been one of the greatest Happy Meal toys of all time if produced.

According to this concept art, the sight of the most traumatic moment in #TheLionKing is the Oldavi Gorge, meaning the movie takes place in Tanzania. It could also mean that it was merely inspired by the Oldavi Gorge, but it's interesting either way.
