Recent films have put more emphasis on villains being more misunderstood than just "bad guys," but the general public keeps painting everything in black and white, with little understanding of nuance. Is there a correlation or am I just trying to find links where there are none?

As if the Super Mario Bros 3 Happy Meal from 1990 wasn't already legendary enough - one of the other concepts McDonald's considered was this Mad Ball-style King Koopa "Fireball Blaster." This would've been one of the greatest Happy Meal toys of all time if produced.

The Camp Snoopy Glasses were the first time (of many) that the Peanuts and McDonald's teamed up. These were also practically guaranteed to be collecting dust in most cupboards across the country for decades to come. (1983)
