I finally took the time to ditch SendGrid and migrate the @cartridge.dev PDS to using @comail.at. It was /ridiculously easy/ and I highly recommend it. Simple, purpose-built interface, and integrating into the PDS is easy. Big fan. 🥰 #atproto

Holy shit that's cool. I'm not enough of an email head to be 100% sure I understand the comail concept but IIUC... this is awesome actually?
bryan newbold (⛱️ sabbatical mode)@bnewbold.net · 2mo agoI was a bit skeptical of the "DNS records synchronized with atproto records" concept at first, but @comail.at has a cool demo where they can configure email for a domain (MX, DKIM, SPF, etc) just by writing records. other tools (goat?) could do the same for lexicon resolution 🧐

Okay, so the @margin.at doc includes the `target`, so we could build jetstream listeners that listen for margin records where the target is a @pckt.blog or a @leaflet.pub and etc, and then use @comail.at to send an email to the owner of the post that someone left a margin comment.
Nate Spilman@natespilman.at · 2mo agoI’d love it if I got a notification is someone created a @margin.at comment on a @standard.site post that I own. That’d be a sick integration. That also doesn’t feel super difficult to implement, assuming the margin record includes sufficient info to link it back to the page owner.
I can attest that this was done entirely for me when I setup my new domain. It was awesome.
