Reality-shaper. Enthusiastic collaborator. Marketing. Music. Film. Eurovision. Ephemera. - It’s that wonderful old-fashioned idea that others come first and you come second. -

I'm trying to get better at promoting my work as growth on my site has been slow, so I thought it would be fun to share my "Tales from Crystal Lake" series which celebrates the storytelling in the FRIDAY THE 13th films: from-the-desk-of-the-horror-chick.ghost.io/tag/tales-fr... Shares appreciated!🖤

Tales from Crystal Lake - From the Desk of The Horror Chick

You: Let's watch Hellraiser Me: So this scene has similar beats to when Lydia first went up into the attic to discover Beetlejuice, but instead of Lydia Deetz (who would be Kirsty Cotton) it's Julia (who would be Delia Deetz) ascending to find Frank (Beetlejuice). Yes, the Maitlands are Cenobites.

The first book proposal & sample chapter I ever wrote (& my agent & I tried to sell) was for the first live action film I remember seeing in the theater at age 6: MOONSTRUCK. Last night, I saw it on the big screen for the first time since 1988, & since it’s marked my life, I shared my thoughts.

Did you ever wonder why the first video on faceless YouTube channels is so often a driving video? No? That's understandable. Regardless, I did the digging, so here's another dive into the faceless YouTube industrial complex. somethingthisweek.substack.com/p/driving-in...

Driving in Czechia, Then Straight Into Faceless YouTube

I feel the need to confess something. Shirley Jackson's THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE (1959) is brilliantly conceived, exceptionally well written, a modern masterpiece of a novel, perfect in its precision, an instant classic. Wouldn't change a word of it. I hate it SO MUCH.

I was let go from BOOM! Studios this afternoon. If you are looking for someone well-connected in the comic industry (in both media and PR), with experience in graphic design, audio and video editing, and much more. Please reach out. Email: Liammcguirejournalism@gmail.com.
