PSA for anyone falling for the clickbait headline: 1. it'll only affect PUBLIC /DISCOVERABLE/ servers. Not just normal public servers 2. it'll only affect NEW messages, not old ones 3. it's trying to address "everything lives in discord and not in public forum/wikis"

Original Dexerto headline: "Discord will soon make public server messages searchable on Google". The headline is crossed out with a big "bait alert!!!!" label, and below it is corrected: "Discord will attempt to address the problem where you need to join a discord to access wiki information and/or announcements for some game"

I cannot stress enough that following your favourite creators for free on their paid services (Patreon, Kofi, vgen too probably??, etc) will give you a way to find your favs when (not if, when) social media implodes You don't have to check up on it, but you'll be so happy if sites shutter overnight

Whoever uses IG a lot I still encourage you to follow my backup, and for anyone to consider following me on Patreon as a free member. You pay nothing, and I don't have a lot to offer to free members, but it will function like a newsletter so that we won't lose each other over socmed being petty.

artists! ICYMI: if you've tagged your art, you can make slightly more organized galleries in case your media tab is a mess (like mine). this was possible before, but now it's easier to link to with bsky's new buttons! you can get the link by clicking a tag, and then "see # posts by user"

an image showing off my bsky profile, with buttons referring to several tags i use for my art. clicking one of these will bring up a more focused gallery of just my art with that tag!

VGEN ARTIST PSA! Please check you have your licenses set up correctly. If there is no cost for commercial content use, just turn off the extra cost switch as seen here. Disabling the whole section means it is NOT allowed at all. You may be missing out on clients by doing so!
