The dinner table talk last night with my offspring was about office work in the 1990s where while idly waiting this evening to collect my youngest from their Guitar Orchestra rehearsal made me search for some detail of my corporate past and uncovered this image. Yes, I'm the face in the bottom right

I had forgotten how brilliant running an after school Chinese calligraphy club was. 20 supremely enthusastic children aged 4 (yep! Reception) to aged 11 (Year 6). The photograph is of the writing by one of the younger learners.

Unbelievably excited right now and incredible to think it has been over seven years but because my after school Chinese Calligraphy club makes a return to the wonderful school I work for resuming next week, I've just bought 30 of these 20mm square exercise books...

I have @gojauntly.bsky.social quite literally stepped up the pace over these last few glorious days of evening sunshine. Thank you for the 1.1 million tally. At this pace, I think I may complete 2 million by the end of June...

I haven't even been able to change my shoes from just arriving home... Think it's my neighbour's way of questioning my timekeeping and evening supper plans...

It's an over 10km kind of day...

You've jogged my memory too of this brilliant documentary I saw on Channel 5 back in 2018. Presented by historian, Dan Jones, the opening episode featured the waterway near Wolf Fields Primary which I think you might know. Brunel was inspired to compete against the canal system...
