✈️ 🇵🇷 Dr. Maria Grau Perejoan visited the Instituto de Estudios del Caribe at the University of Puerto Rico during the summer, where she worked on her research project “Imaginar futuros: antología bilingüe de poesía especulativa y futurista caribeña” under the supervision of Dr. Don Edward Walicek

The ESSE conference also included a vibrant Doctoral Symposium, where PhD candidates presented their ongoing research, received valuable feedback, and engaged with fellow scholars in a supportive academic environment.

✈️🇵🇹 This summer, project member Dr. Aida Rosende Pérez visited the Human-Animal Studies Hub at the U of Lisbon, where she worked on her research project “On Breathing and a Poet(h)ics of Being; Human-Animal Relationalities and the Poetics of Survival” under the supervision of Prof. Verónica Policarpo
