As a nearly 40 year old that’s trying to have a semi-decent relationship with parents that are considerably older < in case of my dad > and less Mature < my mum> my pet peeve is that they want an open conversation about my fucked up upbringing , but the instant I bring something up about it

My husband’s 84 year old uncle self published his memoir on kindle . I wish I could be as dedicated to writing as he was .

In India , CD drives were expensive and therefore most school labs would allow only floppy disks getting a case of them was like a bonanza for my 14 year old self . Three years later I went to college and having a case of rewritable CDs at disposal and your own ftp address at school felt posh

"Verify your age" The first games I played on my Atari used to load from ~10-20cm diameter tape rolls, and the best ones took up to 20 minutes to load, making weird noises in the meantime, and sometimes the loading broke after 19 minutes and you had to start over. And no, there were no saves.

Some early mornings are great even if the day is set to be training because of the cricket . I’ll be grinning all day long 🏏

7 , who doesn’t speak Tamizh yet unfortunately referred to Saravanaa Bhavan as Cinnamon Bhagavan and I legit Loled

Test match in telly is the best thing on a Friday morning , esp when it’s the girls playing one . Give women more tests

Also India and England meet each other at Women’s test in a few hours so I’m in for a fun weekend even if it’s a working weekend of sorts

Today is a musical bonanza considering that The Rolling Stones, Suki Waterhouse and Prateek Kuhad all have new releases dropping .

The one thing and in fact the only thing I miss about living in the east coast is the accessibility to beaches . The lake beaches are obviously superior to ocean beaches but I was in NC this weekend and the water made me cry

I’m looping the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil soundtrack as I’m getting some work done and I’m once again amazed by how beautifully Amitabh Bhattarcharya has written certain verses

I finally finally convinced my husband to let me buy a new router I needed for my job and by god it feels so goood to have functional competent internet again . But it also means I have to ducking set up my nest X Yale lock again and my doorbell again and they are not customer friendly at all
