#OTD 37 years ago, Larry Walker (Maple Ridge, B.C.) made his MLB debut with the Montreal Expos. Batting sixth and playing right field, Walker went 1-for-1 with two runs and three walks against the San Francisco Giants at Olympic Stadium. The Expos won 4-2. #Expos

39 years ago today, Tim Raines went 5-for-5 and hit for the cycle to lead the Montreal Expos to a 10-7 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates at Olympic Stadium. He became the third Expo to hit for the cycle after Tim Foli (1976) and Chris Speier (1978).

37 years ago today, Tom Drees threw his third no-hitter of the season for the triple-A Vancouver Canadians. This was a seven-inning no-hitter in a 5-0 win over Las Vegas. Despite three no-hitters, Drees was not called up by the parent Chicago White Sox that season.

I'm not saying the sons of major league players have an unfair advantage over the rest of us, but Mike Cameron's son was just promoted after Vladimir Guerrero's son sustained a concussion running into the knee of George Lombard's son.

28 years ago today, Vladimir Guerrero and brother, Wilton, homered for the Montreal Expos in their 6-4 loss to the Cincinnati Reds at Cinergy Field. It was the first of four times the brothers would homer in the same game for the Expos.

48 years ago today, in a trade of veteran DHs, the Toronto Blue Jays dealt Rico Carty to the Oakland A's for Willie Horton. Oakland also included right-hander Phil Huffman in the deal.

35 years ago today, left-hander Rheal Cormier (Cap-Pele, N.B.) made his MLB debut with the St. Louis Cardinals. He started against the New York Mets and recorded the win when he allowed just one earned run in six innings in the Cards' 4-1 win at Busch Stadium.
