If you watch the Obama Library, the World Cup, and the Knicks parade this afternoon -- and nothing else -- you can actually see the America we're supposed to be at age 250

So pleased that Nicole will be EFF's next ED. We will miss Cindy's leadership (and I know she'll stay in the fight!), but Nicole has the right skills, and heart, to take us forward in a time when our work is more necessary than ever.

I’m EFF’s next Executive Director! So proud to take the torch from Cindy Cohn and lead @eff.org forward in its next chapter. Here’s the link to the EFF announcement – www.eff.org/press/releas... Together, we can meet the challenges and keep building a future where technology works for the people.

Having Cindy as a mentor, colleague, and friend for the past two decades has been a privilege and a pleasure. I'm glad she's staying in the fight -- now more than ever the internet needs her excellent mind, instincts, and heart. And selfishly, it means we can stay partners in making good trouble.

EFF Statement on U.S. Supreme Court's Decision to Uphold TikTok Ban

We are deeply disappointed that the Court failed to require the strict First Amendment scrutiny required in a case like this, which would’ve led to the inescapable conclusion that the government's des...

It's really shocking, disturbing, & disappointing how little attention SCOTUS gives to the 1st Amendment rights of the millions of Americans who have chosen to use TikTok under its current editorial policy and features to speak with each other and the world & get information. Hardly an afterthought.
