Honestly "cult" is probably generously downplaying the horror of an industry that has normalized the idea of boundary eroding sex parties attended by all the people who have control over your professional & financial future. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I reckoned with actual psychosis for almost 18 months. I would never wish it on another person. Using ‘psychosis’ to shame people for having a specialist interest in any type of technology and wanting to share that joy with other people is horrifying to me.

You can dislike AI if you want. Using mental health or disability as an insult is not okay. It makes me sad how quickly people reach for those slurs.

The notion of “a slur for AI” is absurd on its face because slurs denote groups of people.

Whether it’s ok to say “clanker” is primarily a function of what is in your heart when you say it. As long as it is motivated by nothing but pure hatred and contempt for the computer, it’s fine.
