A lone person improperly equipped for underwater exploration shines a bright green light into the darkness of the water around them, exposing a huge, looming jellyfish-like monster. The monster has two main spike-tipped tentacles, raised as if they might be about to strike, or they might just be floating idly - it's impossible to know for sure. Inside the transparent jellyfish dome is a gelatinous shape resembling a human skull with spindly teeth. Below the jellyfish dome stretches an uncomfortable tangle of coiled tendrils resembling human organs, with longer tentacles trailing over a person's length after the main body.

Bidan in his full kumiho form. He's depicted as an anthropomorphic fox monster, crouching on all fours.

His fur is mostly white on top with black accents on his ventral and limbs. Although kumiho means nine-tailed fox, Bidan currently has only six tails. He still has a few more life experiences to have before the rest of his tails arrive.

Shiny blue markings line parts of his skull-face and his hands/paws, his teeth and claws glowing with similar intensity. Ethereal flames of blue accentuate parts of his face and extremities, especially along his six swishing tails.

The universe wanted to stress-test our household. After a long weekend of fretting over our 12yo cat's health and Ismaire's diagnosis for shingles at 36, we're now breathing a little more easily.

Choi (represented in green) has disheveled long hair and a worn-out expression while holding a multi-glazed mug. They look at their spouse Ismaire and say, "I love you both, but can we please keep it together now?"

Ismaire (represented in pink) wears an eyepatch to hide their swollen left eye. They have a few shingles blisters showing around the eyepatch. They sarcastically respond back with, "Oh yeah 'cos managing stress is easy."

Meanwhile Drift, the oldest bicolored tabby cat, lies on his back in Izzy's arms. He's drugged out by the gabapentin that he needs to take for pain management, which irritates him greatly. A thought bubble floats over his head saying, "This bites."

FWIW LaDs is a fun otome game to play casually for the story and basic hot boy interaction. It’s terato-lite to a degree and the 5* memories are fun side dishes to the main story. But gd the drama is unreal, from niche fan backlash to government intervention.

Getting back in touch with FFXIV during the free login event going on now. It was nice thinking about some OC lore while just appreciating the human-made terrain in this game. The waterfall effects were seriously mesmerizing to look at.

Depictions of sexual acts, in Etruscan belief, possessed magical power: they warded off demons of death and protected the deceased from the “evil eye.” Erotica in this context is not pornography but a weapon against oblivion. A burst of life energy was meant to blind the forces of darkness.
