"Meanwhile, the House is on an imposed recess while another discharge petition—aimed at fixing the shortcomings and loopholes in the Epstein Files Transparency Act—stands at 216 signatures, with two more solid commitments to bring the count to the 218 needed to force a vote on the House floor."

For four years, Sen. Ron Wyden has followed Epstein’s money. Now he’s found an FBI interview with one of Epstein’s bankers that the Trump regime kept out of the Epstein files. My write-up in the link in the comments.

This will be one of the most important immigration cases in a generation. The Trump admin claims that a 1996 law mandates the detention of millions of people without any right to a bond hearing; every person who entered illegally, no matter how long in the past. If they win, it's a nightmare.

NEWS: Supreme Court takes up 3 new appeals, including mandatory ICE detention in Rhoney v. Barbosa @courthousenews.bsky.social

For the past 3d, russian drones have been bombing Kyiv nonstop. russia is particularly targeting education infrastructure. This horrifying photo shows people escaping a massive fire through a window in the National Academy of Science of Ukraine. russians also bombed 2 schools and 2 kindergartens.

Huh. The Daily Wire is reporting something that would be *enormous* if true, as since July the majority of all ICE arrests are people with no criminal record. I am deeply skeptical of such a massive operational change, given how the White House/DHS keep bragging about setting arrest records.

SCOOP: ICE officers across the country were told this weekend to stop arresting non-criminals, agency sources tell @realDailyWire
Now, ICE may only arrest illegal immigrants with criminal convictions or charges for the time being, said the sources.
The change also ends so-called "collateral arrests,
" sources said, meaning officers who find a criminal target alongside others in the country illegally may detain only the target.

If you thought Florida and Texas are the reigning champs of bad decisions, check out this bundle of terrible choices and quotes with virtually no pushback from the author. Neutrality in the face of fascism(Christian nationalism here)is complicity, and Indiana's news media is complicit as hell.

Meanwhile in Indiana…@robertlandrumjr.bsky.social · last wk.

As Indiana prepares for its first school board elections in which candidates can identify their political party affiliation, conservative officials and activists are increasingly focusing on individual schools arguing that efforts to eliminate “DEI” or “woke ideology” have not gone far enough.
