To be clear, American hero Dr. Fauci pled the fifth in order to protect himself from republicans using anything he says to produce propaganda against him, unlike the orange felon who pled the fifth 450 times because he’s guilty AF, but they were more than okay with that. Scumbags.
On a more serious note, the witch hunt launched against scientists by a set of bad faith actors who wish to undermine science has been far reaching. Fauci has been perhaps its most high profile target but it has not stopped there.

At least 52 people have died in ICE custody since Trump returned to the White House. At least 23 people have been shot at by federal immigration agents. And thousands more have been caged, separated from their families, or shipped off to dangerous countries. The cruelty is endless.
