We are the Center for Social Data Science at the University of Copenhagen, an interdisciplinary research center combining methods from econometrics to ethnography with new data science techniques including machine learning and NLP.

Dr. Ben Kenward and I showed a hundred different articles about disruptive protests to people and measured their climate attitudes. It turns out that the type of activism, whether you poop in a lake or climb a smokestack, does not matter. He blogged about it: boiledfrogs.substack.com/p/details-of...

Details of disruptive environmental protest don’t matter much; but audience ideology does

Environmentalists agonise a lot about how to protest the destruction of everything keeping us alive, but our latest results show the issue doesn’t matter as much as they think.

In a new preprint, Jonas Raaschou-Pedersen explores instrumented diff-in-diffs w/ covariates and staggered exposure. He constructs doubly robust estimands for the local average treatment effect on the treated compared to two control groups: never-exposed and not-yet-exposed. arxiv.org/abs/2605.03699
