Tangentially related to the news of 2XKO shutting down, my hottest fighting game take is that fighting games don't really need anti-cheat and the downsides of adding one to your game always outweighs the benefits.

If you are flaming out playing deadlock street brawl you will never see the light of heaven it's genuinely embarassing; this shit is like playing casual smash with your friends and getting mad that the items are unbalanced like, I thought that's why we were playing it???
Going to start charging a timeline tax: For every shitty person inflicted on my TL - yes, even as a helpful warning about their bad behaviour - you have to repost at least one (1) cool person to make up for it. Nice people posting fun things shouldn't get crickets while dickheads suck up all the air
Play this game if you like toxic yuri and speculative sci-fi worldbuilding that makes you go "....oh."

Is it a hot take to say Boba Tea serving sizes are way too large? 9/10 times, the smallest size is like 2x more than I actually want. Why is boba the only drink where they get away with selling you way more than you actually want
i think the most critically undeserved niche of multiplayer games is "games where you all coordinate operating some kind of vehicle of machine" man i miss guns of icarus
Booted up FF14 for the first time ever and MMOs have gotta have the worst introductory experiences of any genre. Start by showing me a cutscene of people I don't know or care about and then spend 2 hours tutorializing the UI of the game with no real story or gameplay hooks present.
The whole enemy team ragequit after this fight
Never ceases to amaze me how consistently asking a question on programming forums will summon "guy who answers a different question than what you're asking because they assumed you were fucking stupid and didn't know what your problem actually was" even when they're completely wrong.
Finally gave my Nagoriyuki mii his proper outfit
Star Fox has exactly 1 more game than the PS5
Feeding my non-binary felon their favorite snack
I love Deadlock as a game but man Valve games are such Nazi bars these days, I can't go 3 matches without people spouting some insanely bigoted shit. People really be out here dropping hard rs in text chat without getting banned like they don't moderate shit anymore it's crazy.
Getting frustrated trying to put a bedframe together by myself tonight so I'm keeping myself calm by imagining Krauss and Natsuhi crashing out trying to put together IKEA furniture while Kinzo laughs at their failure.
"Oh boy, I can't wait to ring the bell of awakening at the top of the undead parish!" The watchful bell gargoyles:
Cowardly developers: "Nooooo! We need AI for our placeholders! It's just placeholder!" MegaCrit:
saw this in the replies to that dumbass bsky dev post and why is this dude's sliding scale color coded with increasingly white skin tones lmao

huge congrats to the @dcellgames.com team for an UNBEATABLE launch day~ 'binary reasoning' (in the cool deluxe pack) is the first song i've written directly for a rhythm game, and the folks at @peakdivide.bsky.social were amazing to work with to make it happen 🤍 NOW GO PLAY IT (the game, too)
Videogames are honestly super avant garde if you pretend they're movies and don't know what a videogame is. Imagine a movie that's just a 2 hour long continuous wide shot of chefs running a kitchen under comedically stressful conditions with no plot or editing
