A couple of weeks ago I rode to Newburyport MA and saw this COVID memorial and realized this is the only one I have ever seen anywhere. And the fact that I nearly broke down seeing it is something I still think about.

For those who died and those who survived and all we list during the COVID-19 pandemic.

It just occurred to me that the reason why you repeatedly get these facile comparisons is that the neolibs think things like tax and social investment are not part of the economy but are simply "added on". The truth is they are a fundamental part of how an economy/society works. #nzpol

It also shows there is still an assumption among rangatahi that NZ books aren’t as good as ‘overseas’ books so it’s great to do things like this to dispel that.
