Based upon decades of experience in the software industry, "the people who produce this tool are garbage, but the technology is really great" never works out in your favor.

I do not like the "builder pattern." It's a bunch of code to maintain for features that you get for free with a type system and initializer syntax. When you see a "builder," think "missing language feature."

Whenever you see an "online petition," think "mailing list registration." If you want to do something which will (maybe!) make a difference, call or write your member of Congress.
