Over the weekend there is going to be a test of the UK Government's Emergency Alerts system on mobile phones. If you have a second phone for safety reasons, this could leave you at risk. All compatible mobile devices will vibrate and make a loud, siren-like sound on Sunday, 7 September 2025 at 3pm.

Our fundraising team made a splash yesterday at the Wokingham Lions Club Swimathon! 🏊‍♀️ Colleagues from our Wokingham alcohol & other drugs service completed 60 laps of the pool in 50 minutes (which is 120 lengths!) and managed to raise just over £1000 🤩🥳

Our Policy team have been busy over the last few weeks, advocating for better outcomes for the people we are here to support. We’ve met with a number of MPs to discuss a range of issues including rising ketamine use, prevalence of synthetic drugs and how we can support more young people.

It is shocking to see rough sleeping rise by a fifth over 12 months in England, with 4,667 people recorded as sleeping on the streets on a single night in Autumn. This represents a near-record high and figures have risen for the third consecutive year.

At a time of extraordinarily high rough sleeping, we were particularly encouraged by consensus from Andy Burnham @mayorofgm.bsky.social and London’s deputy mayor @tomcopley.bsky.social on the need for a housing first approach.
