I’m particularly excited to write for DOE because I get to write about some of the unpalatable parts of my life - I have been unfortunate to be a survivor of quite a few forms of abuse and I’m finally in a healthy and safe enough place to write about it in narrative form✨
Something to note and no pressure but I grew up around the east London cockney accent. My mother made sure I had the RP accent to avoid discrimination as accent based discrimination is very prominent in the UK and thus I never had it, but I have a fondness for it and would recognise it anywhere.

As you may tell my obsession with my current project stems from how personal it is. I think Moonlit is a much more refined version of part of my life but DOE is based off of a lot of the reality of it. Like ive survived some very unfortunate situations -
I am so excited to write Dogs of the Empire properly, I have to wait till September for the official writing session with my co writer but trust me, I am so so hyped
I feel like I need to record my reactions to listening to voice audio for the first time , because every single DOE audio I've gotten from the VAs in the past months makes me react so strongly in a positive way. For this project, accent and the way the characters speak is very specific in my head-

The reaction to DOE has been mixed thus far but it’s given me some hope ! It’ll require some media literacy for this one but I’m very excited to write a show about complicated people who are morally grey

Writing for moonlit is like “this is my complex feelings about being queer and a minority” And then DOE is like “this is everything I’m mad about +everything I think is absurd to the point of comedy”
