Reminder that not liking your relatives is 100% fine, and that going no contact or distancing yourself from toxic environments is often the best solution. Especially in family dynamics You owe nothing to your relatives, you don't owe the fact that they've kept you alive when you were a toddler
Stop policing abuse victims on their responses to their abusers. If you want more queer kids to stay in touch with their parents, then those parents need to treat their queer kids better. The mundane acceptability of homophobia and pressuring your kids to stay closeted needs to be annihilated.
