Pleased to see our work on CCHFV now published: We directly compared two genetically distinct CCHFV isolates (Afg09 and Hoti) in the same mouse model. Both isolates caused severe disease, but we observed distinct differences in disease progression and viral distribution. doi.org/10.1038/s442...

Great news: #Tanzania 🇹🇿 has officially declared the end of the #Marburg virus disease outbreak. Today, the Ministry of Health declared the end of the outbreak after 42 days with no new cases. This is a victory for public health in the country! bit.ly/3XMKScU

1. #Ebola: There is a new outbreak, Ebola Sudan, in Uganda. The current index case (who probably isn't the index case) died yesterday. The person was a nurse who sought care in multiple hospitals before dying. Ebola was only determined post mortem. Possibility of additional cases high.
