Such a fun conversation! There is obvious potential for the arts to improve brain health.
INNS Executive Director @crozell.bsky.social joined artists, researchers, and educators at The Woodruff Arts Center to explore how the arts support human flourishing through neuroscience, launching Georgia’s NeuroArts Coalition powered by @neuroartsblueprint.bsky.social woodruffcenter.org/neuroarts/
Please share widely! If you work in any area related to the brain and policy, please consider applying to be our colleague here at Georgia Tech. This could include (but is not limited to) neuroethics or brain/mental health policy.

Wonderful new paper from my colleague @drannabellesinger.bsky.social and her lab showing the (surprisingly active) role that inhibitory interneurons play in learning about navigation to important places. Check it out!
Check out our latest paper today in Nature: “Goal specific hippocampal inhibition gates learning” www.nature.com/articles/s41... By Nuri Jeong, Xiao Zheng, Abby Paulson, Steph Prince and colleagues.
I was grateful for the chance today to meet with the congressional offices that represent me to emphasize how important it is to have a stable long term investment in biomedical research funding.

Very excited about this paper! Depression is a disease that affects brain-body interactions. This great work led by our collaborators @elisaxu.bsky.social and @allisonwatersphd.bsky.social shows that cortical signatures of interoception return after DBS (aligned with brain biomarker recovery).

What is or isn't a "BCI"? We argue in Nature BME today that if the tech stimulates or records brain activity AND does computation, it's a BCI. www.nature.com/articles/s41... But we still need a way to discuss different types of BCI separately... 🧵 #BCI #BrainComputerInterface
Incredibly excited about the future of @neuromatch.bsky.social with Bradley Roberts as CEO!
