The best part of GenCon was seeing all the tiny studios pitching their awesome games. The amount of creativity I saw was mindboggling. It was so inspiring that it made me think of a concept for my own game. I really want to flesh it out just for fun.
GenAI is being shoved into everything because it's seen by the management class as a cheat code to instant productivity. They don't want to do the real work of actually figuring out how to better their business so they just pitch AI to a room of other people who also don't want to do the work.

Just finished up at #gencon and I had an amazing time. It was one of the best run and friendliest cons I’ve ever been to. I definitely plan on going next year! I plan on posting about every game I played so keep an eye open for that. I played some crazy shit.
The craziest thing I saw at Gen Con were the resale booths that sell rare trading cards. They had a line for purchases of over $10k.
