I used to work at a company whose primary service was called cloudcast. One day, a customer called support asking why it now says buttcast when he logs in. The resolution was “issue resolved by uninstalling cloud-to-butt”

I need an updated version of the classic "cloud to butt" browser extension that replaces "Github stars" with "Useless Internet points" I literally refuse to read and block anyone that claims "Github stars" are in anyway useful or meaningful in any way.

The moral panic is the lazy response. It treats every teenager as presumptively damaged by the same thing, ignores what teenagers actually report about their own experiences, and papers over the reality that the kids who need help will still need help after social media is regulated into oblivion

Same thing in Philly with cheesesteaks. People always ask where the best cheesesteak is. Just go to whatever corner store is closest. They’re all good, and you can also get plantain chips, a phone charger, and a swisher.

Some Jersey diners are “famous” or are written up as “best diners in Jersey” and have lines to get in. Don’t go to those. Those are trash. Just go to any random diner that happens to be close to you. That’s the best diner.

I’ve been doing this for a while in Firefox, and it’s absolutely the way to go. Vertical tabs, tab groups, and the multi-account containers extension has helped me keep track of a million tabs I have open

Google’s Chrome just shipped a better browser layout: vertical tabs. Instead of having all your tabs in a row across the top of your browser, you can now right-click on the tab bar and select “Show Tabs Vertically” to have them appear in a sidebar instead. www.theverge.com/tech/907998/...
