So, lately I've been experimenting with some of the new dictionary features for certain phonemizers in OpenUtau, and I had a thought, "What if I could make the [EN VCCV] phonemizer easier to use with these features?". This is the result of that though.
Basically, the "Phoneme Support Utility" ( or "PSU" ) Dictionary seeks to improve the functionality of various phonemes in VCCV that the phonemizer tends to struggle with, making the user experience for using the [EN VCCV] phonemizer much smoother than before.
It's not perfect, and is bound by some seemingly hard-coded limitations. But it fixes some of the more caustic annoyances of using a VCCV voicebank in OpenUtau, and makes sure that most words have a working transcription.
In the .ustx you see here, I tried to keep phoneme editing to a minimum, to show how the dictionary makes phoneme editing significantly less necessary.
All of the major changes the PSU Dictionary makes are outlined in the accompanying readme.txt file.
I'm not doing a big video like I did last time. As fun as that was, this dictionary is still pretty experimental, and I'm hoping I can make it better to improve more stuff as OpenUtau receives future updates. This can be essentially considered a "Beta".
