My main issue with learning how to use an Akai MPC again is that the UX all too obvious. My brain has been ruined by terrible PC workflows that stop me from seeing what I need to do. E.g. if you keep pressing the Mixer button it cycles between the pad and channel mixers. I’m duh.

So anyway, on June 18th, Epic did a presentation on UE6, said among other things that they are deprecating Blueprints, discovered that this is very unpopular with the users, and are kinda backtracking now. Are #gamedev people, their target customer though? I get the feeling we aren’t anymore.

I worked in a mainstream record store in a shopping center circa 94, and it had this vibe around Christmas time when people that *never buy music* walk into to place with a bizarre concept of how the product was distributed.

TIL Ms Excel returns 0^0 as #NUM instead of the algebraic standard 1.0 because of maintaining backwards compatibility with Lotus 1.2.3! I’m thinking maybe it’s time we have that choice in a user preference? While you’re here, I’d like to also suggest TAU() = 2*PI() and L’Hospital’s rule 0/0 = 1.0
