Had an interesting ask from @bexbirder.bsky.social to help with catching some juv Little Grebe that were living on a pool that is rapidly drying out. Drought it pretty serious when you can't fly, walk and need to be on water! Thankfully we got one thanks to lots of muddy helpers as well some luck.

This would be rare here - a sign of the depth of the drought. Rabbits normally have no need to drink water - they are surrounded by pastures & hedgerows filled with green grass & juicy vegetation. Now the fields are scorched brown and dry - birds & animals & insects face dehydration. #Droughts

The Burnham Boost is a short-lived blip of hope in the Labour agenda of profit before people and planet. Ominous that he already wants to burn more oil and gas. Ignore the Zack smear campaign. Only he and the Greens have the vision, courage and policies to address both climate and economy together.
