I'll be talking at Safety through Solidarity about the work @notaloneplymouth.co.uk does, and how the erosion of trans+ rights affects everyone and makes the world less safe for everyone to freely express their gender. If you can come along please do, and show support for this inclusive event

An underreported part of UK Transphobe Lawfare™ is that when they lose, they just... say they won. For all the regrettable sway they do have in courts/govt etc, their real power is in the press. So if they lose, they just pretend they didn't and their press friends print the lie. It's ubiquitous.

Women's Rights Network/Sex Matters took Feile to court to have their event reinstated. It was not reinstated. The two statements released after an agreement was reached give two very different impressions of what happened today in Belfast's High Court.

Statement from Féile an Phobail

Statement from Féile an Phobail

Féile an Phobail are delighted with today’s outcome at the High Court.

Today’s outcome is a vindication of Féile’s position in standing up for those who are marginalised.

Féile’s decision to withdraw this event from our programme stands.

The agenda of many of those who involved themselves in this issue was clear for all to see.

Many of the very same people line up every year to attack Féile at every turn, to attempt to damage Féile, and to attack the West Belfast community.

They will never succeed.

Féile an Phobail will continue to provide a voice for the marginalised, and we are looking forward to welcoming the world to West Belfast to join with us to celebrate Ireland’s biggest community festival.

Féile Abú!

I'll be speaking at the 10th @bpsofficial.bsky.social Community Psychology Festival about the role community groups like @notaloneplymouth.co.uk play in supporting trans+ individuals and providing safe spaces to explore identity & navigate transitioning www.bps.org.uk/event/10th-c...

Did some fancy nails this evening ahead of a few days away, so thought I'd get a picture but actually if you squint you might be just be able to make out Tsuki photobombing me

Lisa with teal nails covered in gold and blue foil, but Tsuki (a cat of the long haired grey floof monster vaiety) has placed her head on Lisa'a hand

Last week I presented my research on what the trans+ community wanted doctors to learn at #ASME2026 c/o @asmeofficial.bsky.social Went down really well, plus I got this great picture where I'm explaining the art was created by @happytoast.co.uk and not AI, and maybe more importantly, who the cat is

Lisa standing in front of a TV that has a slide that says thank you and has her contact details on it. It also includes a drawing of her holding a grey cat in one arm and waving a trans flag with her free hand. Lisa is gesturing towards this with a very big smile on her face. She is wearing a floral purple and green dress that fades to black at the bottom, and a lanyard with her conference ID.

Today is my 5 year tranniversary 🎉 I've experienced so many highs & lows but gone through surviving, into persisting, & now thriving despite the world's best efforts. Wouldn't change a thing Seems like a perfect occasion to share one of the amazing pics @happytoast.co.uk drew for me ❤️ (Thx HT!)

Artwork of Lisa by HappyToast. She is wearing a multicoloured dress with lots of white, pink, and blue colours in it. her dreadlocked hair is tied into a bun at the back, with a loose bit of hair at the front that fades from red through blue. In her left hand she is cradling Tsuki, a grey long haired cat, and in the other she is waving a trans flag. She has a huge smile!

Really happy to have spent the weekend in That There London at some intimate Metallica shows with a few friends. Highlight for me though was hearing Rob and Kirk playing through Ian Dury's Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll. Naturally, it was very good indeed 😌

Metallica in London playing Fuel, with jets of flames shooting up form the stage.

Been a while since I deployed Conference Attendee Lisa, but what I'm really looking forward to is tomorrow I get to be Conference Presenter Lisa and share my research on what trans+ individuals want doctors to know #ASME2026

Lisa stood next to an ASME signLisa in the main hall with a lanyard on. She is wearing glasses because she is old and tired and needs to see lol
