Can I install Gemma 4 31B on an iPhone to run locally? & then have that Gemma 4 31B instance change how DNS routing works by having it interface with a custom VPN on iOS or Android maybe?

Have been thinking about this with all the bricked Lightform LFC / LFX / LF 1’s and 2’s out in the world. Very good computers & projectors, basically just sitting there because their software steward got acquired :-(

I'm increasingly interested in how reverse engineering can be a form of cultural stewardship. Every abandoned instrument, sensor, or HID controller contains knowledge that can disappear long before the hardware itself fails.

Automating Interactivity >> “Artificially” “Intelligent” The hard parts of inventing novel interface hardware are (almost) never the software. The hard parts are the “glue”: drivers, update software, cross-OS compatibility transpiration, weird bytecode from some board.

As a postscript, I feel obliged to mention that cracking the Morph involved disassembling a Windows binary, and that I don't know shit about how to do that. As conflicted as I am about AI, part of my wonder here is how it can help us recover what's slipping away, instead of recycling what isn't.

I can't look away from these lost interfaces. I want to document them carefully and return them to the commons before they disappear: to empower artists, preserve public knowledge, and keep capable hardware out of landfills.

Mamdani left soccer field lights on all night…..the lights usually go off at 10pm. They set a camera up and guess what they saw?? Residents playing soccer with their friends ALL NIGHT. One man said how much he loved it because his friends work late and can’t get to the field before 10pm.
