You do not have to "live with the threat of ______." When ________ happens, you live with it then. Right now there is enough stuff actually here, good and bad, to keep you pretty busy living with it. Source: cancer that is going to kill me at some point in the next year or two BUT NOT TODAY.

Forever shouting this @ all my fellow authors and writers: IT'S OK IF YOU WANT TO MAKE A LIVING W YOUR BOOKS! IT'S OK IF YOU WANT YOUR BOOKS TO BE FAMOUS. There's no moral superiority in toiling in obscurity or the "starving artist" mentality. You can write for yourself AND for an audience! ❤️

Black history month is right around the corner and our president intends to spend it making us smaller. Let’s interrupt that by amplifying these Black authors and reviewers instead!!!

Being a person with deadly, incurable cancer who is nonetheless still alive for an indefinite timeframe gives me an interesting metaphor that helps me deal with things like large-scale corruption in government or commerce. Bear with me for a second while I try to explain.

Sending so much love to LGBTQ+ folks today. To my trans, queer, and nonbinary siblings. I am holding space for our fears, our devastation, our frustration, and rage. I am holding space for our hope, our love, our devotion, and joy.

My brief thoughts on A👁 books: I LOVE writing, but as a chronically ill & disabled person it's FREAKING HARD. My brain & my body are constantly fighting me. I have a problem: I write dark romance books with villain main characters and the usual spicy goodness like stalking, kidnapping, 🔪 & 🩸 play... BUT it's in a fantasy setting & many dark romance readers skip all fantasy. 😭 How do I explain that it's EASY fantasy with MINIMAL world building??

something im a little concerned about - and i admit, a lot of this may just be that I am steadily moving towards middle age - but it seems like pretty much everyone is completely bugfuck nuts now. and it seems like that might complicate things, in the future
