First, I'm not a lawyer, I'm a poli-sci nerd with a military background. But I don't see how Trump is stopped with a complicit congress, and his apparent willingness to ignore court rulings. It would all come down to military leaders defying orders, which is... ultimately not a good thing.
Here's my completely fatalist prediction: ICE raids in blue cities justify Nat'l Guard/Military > Protests increase, more violence > Insurrection Act/Martial Law > More protests > Rights suspended > Trump announces active hostilities in blue cities > Elections suspended > King Trump.
