The next step of my slot car vs train idea: the actual slot cars! I scored this time capsule from 1991 in the form of two Mazda Miatas from Tyco. I have some Life-Like to Tyco adapters coming in the mail so I can utilize the crossovers included with the cars.

I hope whoever won this train set really treasures it. A LOT of time, energy, and effort went into making that a reality...and that's not counting the ~60 pieces of track that came with it. Hours spent polishing the rails, lunch breaks spent painting, and evenings spent tuning trucks. One of a kind.
