I also kind of understand why it's a remake; like, every other Nintendo franchise they care about is bi-yearly; Starfox hasn't been relevant in 15 years at the latest and almost 30 years at the highest point. You have to build from Square 1 again with that kind of time between games

I find myself disliking crossover events in basically anything these days not just because they're so common and represent the increasing trend toward consolidation of all media into one big featureless soup but because every time one gets the nod it robs both franchises of other opportunities
This is precisely why I like getting in on some early access projects; the idea that indie devs would replace the genuine charm I get from seeing in-production assets I'll get to see the finished versions of later with AI slop is actually pathetic
