I think one of the core themes of the amazing digital circuis is that we're all stuck together. This is the life we have. We have to extend some degree of forgiveness out even to people who have done terrible wrong, IF we truly believe they want to change. That is an important lesson in this world.

🌟A lot of people really need to, like grow the hell up and figure out that you don't need to forgive someone, and you are allowed to hold them as suspicious, and not want to interact with them personally WITHOUT forever holding scorn in their heart for them, or advocating for ETERNAL PUNISHMENT 😒

Sin that must be eternally punished is a culturally Christian idea that you can and should reject. If someone admits wrongdoing and changes their behavior, that's the desired outcome. You don't continue to punish because you then signal there's no point to contrition at all, you're damned either way

Play is the natural state of so many critters, including humanity. I think that's why GDQ is such a natural thing to imagine existing. Doing silly, meaningless, self imposed challenges, sharing them with each other, and combining it all to gather funds to help other people in the world.

Thinking about the video games industry. So much emphasis is placed on rights ownership for the series people remember, and a small amount on the process in the companies themselves... But not the actual people responsible for the successes. Its so hollow. You can't trust AAA publishing. It is dead.

Off the top of my head, I think we need laws for publically traded companies that are more strict than for private. I think it would make the world slightly less grim if a they were legally required to hire somebody to fill any job posting they list within two weeks if anybody at all applies.

I played this game during nextfest and can say with absolute certainty it deserves to be in your collection. The writing is fun, the characters are cute, and the gameplay is a wonderful little retro throwback that still manages a lot of modern nuances. Full throated endorsement.

I think more important than what flavor of commerce and government we specifically land on, it really just needs to do two things. 1) It must care about people. Capitalism getting into basic needs is a problem. And 2) We must actually root out corruption. If either of these aren't done, it breaks.

Activism is important. But social media posts aren't activism, even ones that go viral. They are, perhaps, a starting point, they can lead people to think about their beliefs and understanding of the world, sometimes. But they are a limited tool, activism requires action, not just influence.

Today's extremely specific scenario is someone casting a perception-altering spell or something on themselves to make themselves seem perfectly normal to any observers so they can do something nefarious, only to get stuck in some sort of Expansion Predicament and be unable to convince anyone to help
