Taking some time to ignore the house stuff I should be doing and am trying to make a mold for this finally. Considering how difficult it was to get it out I’m not super confident in how well the final mold will work. We shall see! 🚀

I keep touching the test samples of my wild clay to remind myself that it survived cone 6 no problem and I don’t need to be worried about these bright terra cotta pots
I think part of my style has developed from my desire to have simple glazing. Single glazes ideally. So I’ve pursued glazes and forms that can make the glaze have natural variations. That way I can glaze 6 mugs in 2 minutes after all the prep is done 😂

I added the form on bottom yesterday to add weight at the bottom and then cut it off but now I kind of regret it lol. I like the simplicity of the left but feel like right is maybe more balanced and feels like it has a little more movement. Oh well 😂

Was admiring the tiny red tassels in this side oats gramma tonight.
Bunny chilling under the prairie climbing rose which ordinarily would have been a very defensive hiding spot. But I did nearly step on it trying to get the vines to go where I want them.

Realized I hadn’t made any skateboard mugs at all last year. So I made a couple this weekend and an infestation mug. And tried on another artists style for some playing around in this little cup.
Got a handful of black wings and graphic sticks for a couple bucks at the thrift store. Also kind of regret not getting this Edgar Allen Poe action figure.
Added some little stars at 3/5/7 today before I did the final radius. I still can’t figure out if I wan to engrave this at.
Bugs from the day. I looked the fly up earlier but don’t remember what it’s called. Tiny stick bug! Off to the right out of frame was another small stick bug being murdered by an ant ☠️
Had to take some pics on a white background for a show I might apply for. I don’t normally love the white seamless background vibe but it is kind of fun to see these pop out just a little more.
