As we deinstall “Character is Better Than Wealth: The Enduring Legacy of Michael Davitt” and prepare to hand the reins over to Gulliver at 300, the curator would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who visited the exhibition and engaged with Davitt’s remarkable life and legacy.

I’ll be on Nationwide next Wednesday the 6th of May at 7pm speaking about the legacy of Michael Davitt and my current exhibition @tcdlibrary.bsky.social 🎥

It was a real pleasure to speak to the Friends of the Library last week about my exhibition, “Character is better than wealth: the enduring legacy of Michael Davitt.” Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the discussion so engaging.

To celebrate the 180th anniversary of his birth, here’s a behind-the-scenes look at the installation of our exhibition “Character is Better Than Wealth: The Enduring Legacy of Michael Davitt.” You can visit the exhibition as part of The Book of Kells Experience and it will run until the end of June.

We were delighted to have the opportunity to take the MPhil “Lived Experiences of Early Modern Women” class to view different manuscripts in the @tcdlibrary Manuscripts & Archives. Special thank you to Dr. John Gillis and Estelle Gittins for sharing their work and insight into the collection!
