Time for a Karl Marx quote “Surround yourself with people who make you happy. People who make you laugh, who help you when you’re in need. People who genuinely care. They are the ones worth keeping in your life. Everyone else is just passing through.”
Last figure for a while, and last in my “not for any purpose” to cheer myself up “Mad Marx” from Troublemaker Games No alt, back and front of a motorcycle leathers clad Karl Marx, sawn of shotgun raised, left leg in a metal brace, canteen, pack and knives strapped to him. I.E. as Mad Max
More on that curved, red sandstone facade. It was designed by architect John Bryce, there is a plaque in the wall, and was intended as an entranceway to a set of crypts I do not think that plan came off, but a good setting for Cù Sìth
A bit too close to home at the moment, but the Glasgow Necropolis “Cù Sìth” statue on the Maggies Scottie trail is impressive No ALT (because typing hurts my fingers) but a green furred dog with the skeleton showing through here and there, the jaw, tail & side Against a backdrop of a curved facade
I know I have quite a small reach on here but is there anyone on here who is a Doctor Who fan based in the South West? I have a lot of old stuff from my childhood and I’m looking to downsize, would like to pass as much of it onto a loving home if possible
Grim as life is at the moment, it is good that the joy of others can lift your spirits for a moment This moment is the numerous and exuberant Calvin Harris fans overflowing the train See if my joy holds when I try to get off, but they seem happy
I can be wrong, and if you show me that, fair enough Cast aspersions on my character and imply unreasoning bigotry and I invite you to leave

The GOP is desperately trying to rewrite history, but just a reminder that Donald Trump was president during the lockdowns, and he awarded Fauci a presidential commendation for his work on COVID. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

If you download a copy of one of my books for free, you are a thief. If you are poor and desperate for one of my books, there are, in fact, libraries (who are not thieves). You can also contact me directly and plead your case. I can make you a deal in some cases.

Tho' much is taken, much abides; and tho' We are not now that strength which in old days Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are; One equal temper of heroic hearts, Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
The B-29 crashed *a lot* [from the AAF Statistical Diget, World War II (Table 100)] – of the “Very Heavy Bombers” which were almost all B-29s, 29% of all losses happened in the US. Of the “Heavy Bombers” almost all B-17s or B-24s, that number is 14%

Musk was humiliated in his interview with The Economist editor Zanny Minton Beddoes. She called him out on his bullshit, pointed out his lies and ignorance and extreme prejudice. We need more interviews like that. This is the response of the world’s thinnest-skinned man.

Yup! I’m a historian because of the Asterix books, and the Maid Marian And Her Merry Men children’s sitcom
Some academics turn up their noses at movie adaptations or popular history books, but I call them "gateway drugs" into deeper scholarship. How many of us fell in love with history because a movie (or book) sparked our curiosity first? For me, it was Amadeus - it sent me down an 18thC rabbit hole.
