The excesses of woke 1 were shit like trans people being able to make silly queer fun media with references to psychiatric violence so we can't have that anymore. Humanity is on an austerity budget. You'll consume your Marvel DC Disney Adult media and you'll fucking like it.

"People like it," the Matrix co-creator said of her new script The Hunted. "But they really don’t want to make it because it’s [got a] wall-to-wall trans cast." www.avclub.com/lilly-wachow...

Like I see some people suggesting it might flop because it's going to be bad or a retread of the films and ngl if quality writing and originality mattered more than a massive marketing budget, those books would never have become the massive phenomenon they did.

the harry potter show is likely to be a massive global hit and lead to a cultural revival of the work and its profitability. one should prepare for this

Like spinning off this a bit, "trans women are women"/"trans men are men" is a principle with a clear policy implication; trans women can use the women's loos because we operate on the basis that they are women. The policy implications of "nonbinary identities are valid" is...what?

Sarah Clarke - Not your doll@damselindystopia.bsky.social · yesterday

"non-binary identities are fundamentally valid" is such a weak end to that quote tho. Like it's so wild that there's this aversion to just saying that non-binary people are non-binary instead of these tortured constructions about identity and validity.

Honestly once you understand large parts of the gender critical movement as abusers raging at the community their victim is part of because they can no longer get to the individual a lot of stuff starts making much more sense.

This is one of the "Moms for Liberty" and this crusade seems to specifically be a tantrum over not being able to bully her (now adult) nonbinary kid into cisness. www.sacbee.com/news/local/a...

This post just popped up on my Facebook from a page with tens of thousands of followers. Behind the black box are the names of 10 children the OP is alleging to be trans. The post also include photos of all 10 children, and the name of the schools they attend. They’re now doxxing minors.

Beth Young Bourne on Facebook:

The emperor has no clothes.
Here are some of the recent trans-identified BOYS competing in GIRLS' high school sports in California.
@CIFState doesn't keep any records on the number of boys who are competing on girls' teams. I only became aware of the 3 boys at [CENSORED] High School after I asked parent friends if their daughters were being impacted by this insane transgender ideology.

Below this post, not included in the screenshot, were photos of all 10 children.

Like I think part of the answer is that HP was a product of the neoliberal consensus of the late 90s where society was generally assumed to have reached its final form. In this view, there may be *problems* with society, but they are to be managed, not fixed.

Speaking of Dobby, I often think about how people who haven’t read those books would be surprised to learn just how many pages are devoted to defending slave labour

The fact that many men won’t engage in activities or hobbies unless those things also ritualistically differentiate them from women is a problem of patriarchy. One that men need to figure out how to divest from. Pandering to their discomfort in that tension only reinforces it.

I use a cane and wheelchair to get around in public and if I didn’t I wouldn’t be able to get around at public at all. Which is ultimately the goal of people who attack the use of mobility aids: it’s a straightforward way to remove many disabled people from social life.

this is most obvious with what "male socialization" actually is: how does it differentiate itself? it's pretty simple: endless rituals to kill the tranny[girl] who might be among you or within you!
