Few weeks ago I bought a 3D printer, A1 mini. Its pretty small but i figured its fairly affordable to figure out if its something i'll find more uses long term for. Then i can sell and upgrade if i need to. Printed a bunch of test stuff and im really liking the experience so far.
My old 3rd monitor has been acting up lately, sometimes it will turn on and turn off immediately and only turn on again after half an hour, or it will look very dim at the start. I was hoping it was the capacitors aging, but none of them looked bulged or suspicious. Still hoping new ones will fix it
If i will have the strength i hope to go on hiatus in a week or two from all the social media relating to this persona. Will just keep bsky online because its so low on attention and just post stuff as i want to. There's just too much upkeep to keep in the know with everything and i need a break.
Been busy with more urgent drawings, but wanted to post something. I really like these, started as just halfhearted 'back' doodles, but i realised i feel fondness for the "partially in the water" theme. Think it may come from photography, paintings and spending my childhood near rivers. #pikansso
I love getting hyper specific bugs, it gives me a murphys law type 'of course something has to be wrong' chuckle. Newest one. On Cachy, Wayland specific, if you run Blender with Vulcan as your Display Graphics backend in the settings, the whole app is like 15% darker. If you use OpenGL its normal.
Just figured out if using Wayland, don't use OpenTabletDriver, default settings map to tablet better. If on X11 then OTD. Which is annoying because of other things like X11 lets me drag and drop links between apps, but Wayland doesn't always let you do that, like discord to browser.
For months ive been 95% finished with an illustration but it was so nice that i wanted to make a non eechi version so it could be more approachable publicly. Trying to figure out how to make the skirt work just demotivated me from ever finishing it for months. And it just dawned on me - SPATS!
Das Boot blockout. I had no plans going further than this, but i'll see, theres some fun things you can do trying to flesh it out. I cheated here and made the railing like 2-3 times taller to fit human height, unless the original railing was meant for sakanakama height.

Has been a long while since winter this nice! This is close to a halfway across completely frozen up river, the ice was like 10cm thick where i could see, but didn't want to test my luck too much, so i turned around. Also 2 large foxes ran across my skiing path in front of me 🦊😗
