Watching Terminator 2 with my 14-year-old son in the age of AI is really putting it in perspective. What's striking (and seems so unrealistic at this moment) is how willing Miles Dyson was to come around to the danger of the tools he was creating.

To an LLM, your instructions are just more text to probabilistically reason about. “Don't do X” simply cannot work. You must enforce deterministic rules outside the system.
