I overslept this morning. Thankfully my meeting was cancelled, but boy I needed that sleep. The universe aligned with me for once
Unphased, unbothered, and moisturized. Me, just staying in my lane and watching the world go on.
After 10 years the Google street view of the place I spent my first 15 years of life was updated. I'm glad to see the tree I used to climb as a kid in our yard is still there, and the area appears to be well kept.
I've been on a losing streak with "life" for over three years, half of which was my own fault and the other half was bad luck. I'm immensely happy that things are finally looking up. I really needed these wins ;-;
I've been very critical of desktop Linux over the years for a bunch of particular reasons, but I cannot deny how far it has come in just this last year alone and how many of my issues were addressed too. I think I could see myself shifting off Windows as my primary OS in the near future.
I am once again reminded that the brain craves familiarity. It doesn't actually care about peace, happiness, or fulfillment. You may genuinely want those things, but if those are unfamiliar to your brain, you must make patient intentional efforts toward that end. This is why change is hard.
You may have noticed that operating systems are asking you to do updates more frequently the past few months, be it Android, iOS, Linux, Windows etc. There are very good reasons for this and you should let them do their updates.
Man, I don't know why I'm tired so much of the time. *goes to bed at 2, wakes up at 7 three days in a row* Guess I'll never know 🤷♂️
Happy #WerewolfWednesday! Have some screencaps of the werewolf episode of President Curtis. Nice designs!
Saw a video earlier of a vibe coder trying to convince people they should just commit their .env files to git and I was immediately reassured of my own job security.
I can never tell if it's allergies or irritation from all the smoke this summer. It's usually the latter given precedent.
I've gotten so see lots of far away friends this year, but they are so dear to me and I wish they were closer so I could see them more often. Love you guys and miss you lots ❤️ Happy #FursuitFriday! (Tags in comment)
There is a part of me that wants to fully narrate the journey I've been on to social media, but I think the best way forward is for me to demonstrate the results of that it in my actions as opposed to a long thread.
It is often better to just watch and let events unfold, even if said events give you pause.
Memory allocation is not really a universally solved problem and every method has their own tradeoffs. Linux, macOS, and Windows solve these problems in entirely different ways. The NT Kernel is much more honest about how it commits memory apps ask for, which is why it looks worse on paper.
Powerwolf's "Joan of Arc" is such a fantastic song. One of my favorites right up there with Venom of Venus and Incense & Iron.
As a kid I didn't like Marmite at all, but I find myself craving it far more often as an adult and I always keep my pantry stocked.
My first fursona was a wolf, my second one was a German Shepherd (this one) and has been so since 2016. I must confess strong recent urges to return to original form, just with a completely new design.
Okay RDR2 is actually a very good game. I could sink time into this for the next few weeks before WoW kicks back off again.
